Scottish Women Inventing Music (SWIM)

Scottish Women Inventing Music (SWIM) is a collection of music creators and industry professionals who identify as female. Membership is comprised of women working in all areas and genres of music, who are committed to achieving a level playing field for women, pushing for gender equality across the music industry.
SWIM is releasing a new collaborative album for charity named ‘Cover To Cover’ (out 5th March).
You can hear previews of the album tracks on The Morning Show week commencing 1st March, 2021. Aldo will be playing a track from the album at approximately 10:17am and 11:17am every day next week.
The album features 13 of Scotland’s top female artists/bands covering each other’s original songs. The aim of the album is to raise awareness of female underrepresentation in the Scottish music industry and further afield.
All proceeds from the album will be donated to Scottish Women Inventing Music (SWIM).
The album includes covers from Gefahrgeist, Jen Ella, Sarya, Olivia Thom, Ceiti, Amie Huckstep, Mima Merrow, Post Coal Prom Queen, Chiara Baillie, PINLIGHT, Jen Athan, Francesca Ortisi & Aurora Engine.
